    Bio
     
    Luis Largo has taught AP Physics, physics, and Student-Designed Research in the Upper School since 2019. Mr. Largo spent the first part of his career as an engineer in both Colombia and El Salvador. He then returned to school to earn his master’s degree in Physics Education at Rutgers University, and a master’s degree in Spanish at Universidad de Granada, Spain. Mr. Largo has over a decade of teaching experience in public schools and has also served as a physics lecturer at Rutgers University. He serves as a faculty advisor for ILMUNC and has been the advisor for the Latinx Cultural Association and the Latinx affinity group. He has also collaborated with the Athletic Association and the Community Service Committees. Mr. Largo can often be found as a spirit leader for the KPS summer programs, and he is regularly seen in Hauser Hall, ushering the Primary School students to class every morning.

    Bio
     
    Joe Laspina was a police officer in the City of Summit for 25 years before his retirement, in 2009. He joined Kent Place as a campus safety officer in 2011.

    Bio
     
    Jennison Lee joined the Kent Place faculty in 2014 and teaches first grade. She is also a certified holistic health coach and is a member of the Health and Wellness Committee and the Primary School Admissions Committee. Ms. Lee helps run the Mileage Club, which is for Primary School students. Ms. Lee received a BA degree in English literature from Muhlenberg College, and earned her State of New Jersey Early Childhood Teaching Certification while attending Kean University in pursuit of her master’s degree in early childhood education. She  is also Orton-Gillingham Academy trained and certified at the Classroom Educator Level.

    Bio
     
    Kimberly Lee came to Kent Place in 2014 and teaches English 10, several AP Literature and Composition courses, and in the Writing Center. She also advises the Upper School publication club, Windward, and is the lead teacher in the annual Poetry Out Loud program. Ms. Lee is a graduate of Rutgers University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in English. She also earned a master's in teaching of English Language Arts from Teachers College, Columbia University.

    Keri Lesnik began teaching theater at KPS in 2008 and has worked with students in all three divisions. She is a graduate of NYU’s Educational Theater program and holds a master’s degree in education from Bank Street College. She has been a director and choreographer for hundreds of students of all ages throughout the New York Metropolitan area and has directed more than 30 Kent Place productions. Mrs. Lesnik also designed curricula on playwriting, Shakespeare, and acting techniques. A classically trained dancer, actor, and vocalist, Mrs. Lesnik enjoys performing with several of New Jersey’s local theaters.

    Before coming to KPS, in 2014, Andrea Liu was the scheduler/assistant to the president of Barnard College. She has also worked as an immigration paralegal and in the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office. Ms. Liu assists the Director of Middle School. Ms. Liu has a BA from Arcadia University (Beaver College) and a juris doctor from the John Marshall School of Law.

    Bio
     
    Sarah Lovern holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she studied biology, chemistry, and Spanish. She then earned her MS in nursing leadership from East Carolina University. Ms. Lovern comes to Kent Place as the Primary School Nurse after working in pediatric critical care at Children’s Minnesota and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. In addition to pediatrics, she has a passion for volunteerism: She served in AmeriCorps with the American Red Cross in Ohio, and has volunteered internationally in India, Brazil, and Vietnam, among other developing nations, in patient data collection and quality improvement. She’s an advocate for women’s health and diversity and inclusion.
